Metabolic balance, what it is and how it works

Now that summer and the dreaded 'swimming costume test' is approaching, everyone is running for cover with gruelling gym workouts and drastic diets. In reality, this is not quite how it should be. First of all, keeping fit, exercising and following a balanced diet should be a lifestyle to be followed all year round, for one's physical and mental well-being, as well as for looking good. In fact, the right diet provides all the energy we need to face our days positively and stay healthy.

And this is where Metabolic Balance comes in, a global and customised dietary programme for rebalancing metabolism and regulating weight in a natural way, without resorting to drastic slimming diets and without food supplements or drugs.

What is Metabolic Balance?

Metabolic Balance is a diet programme that aims to gradually change the body's metabolism by means of a correct diet alone, reducing calorie requirements and thus enabling the desired weight to be achieved in a gentle, physiological and above all long-lasting way.

Who is it recommended for?

The programme can be followed by those who are overweight with a view to cosmetic surgery, but also by those who simply wish to lose weight and acquire healthy eating habits. In particular, it has proved particularly effective for those suffering from dietary imbalances, overweight or obesity, rheumatic disorders, migraine, digestive disorders, diabetes, cholesterol, liver and biliary disorders, kidney and bladder disorders, hormonal and menopausal disorders, allergies and skin imperfections, osteoporosis, tiredness, listlessness and lack of vitality.

How does it work?

Before starting, it is necessary to carry out laboratory tests. It starts with a preliminary informative interview followed by a thorough anamnestic and physical examination (including elements such as weight, BMI, etc.) during which the basics of the programme are explained.

The Metabolic Balance programme consists of 4 phases and studies the body's nutritional chemistry in order to change its metabolic balance. Each programme is therefore highly customised to the patient's specific condition.

- Preparation phase: lasting 2 days, this is used to prepare the body for the change in diet by consuming light foods.

- Central restrictive phase: this phase lasts a minimum of 14 days and involves a diet to be followed strictly, only in this way can the process of rebalancing the metabolism begin. At the end of this phase, a significant increase in energy can be observed, which can be translated into a tendency to do more physical activity, a further acceleration of the metabolism.

- Moderate phase: at the end of this phase, a significant improvement in health is noted. At this point, new foods are introduced and the diet plan becomes less rigid. The patient in this phase has begun to have a greater awareness of the body's needs, which enables him or her to feed correctly on their own.

- Maintenance phase: the aim of this phase is to maintain the results obtained on a lasting basis by avoiding returning to old eating habits.

Throughout the whole process, the patient is constantly followed by his counsellor, who supports him psychologically and guides him in his food choices until he acquires a new awareness of his real dietary needs. Metabolic Balance thus becomes a lifestyle rather than a diet. A lifestyle that improves physical appearance but not only that, it improves health, the ability to concentrate and energy levels. It allows you to sleep better and, overall, to feel healthier and more vital.
