Stars' most famous retouches

Stars' most famous retouches

Back from the summer, we are still in the mood for a little light-heartedness, a little umbrella chatter, a little gossip... So let's tackle a more frivolous topic than usual: the retouching of the stars. Hollywood divas are always in the spotlight, and theirmedical or cosmetic surgery, real or alleged, is the subject of worldwide discussion. Sometimes, you certainly don't have to have a clinical eye or be an expert to realise that some interventions are excessive. Often stars, always under the spotlight and exposed to criticism, succumb to a few too many or unnecessary retouches. Instead, the best are those that are there but not seen, those that improve without distorting, of that we are convinced.

Among cosmetic surgery, one of the most popular among celebrities is rhinoplasty. And when talking about nose jobs, one cannot help but think of Jennifer Aniston. The actress, who became famous for the hilarious series Friends, shrunk her nose and did just fine! Other famous cases of rhinoplasty, perhaps these not quite necessary, are those of the beautiful actress and former Gossip Girl starBlake Lively, former Dawson's Creek Joy Katie Holmes and the beautiful British actress Keira Knightley.

Another procedure that has quite a following among stars is Botox. Madonna has certainly made use of it, but also Nicole Kidman and Meg Ryan have been famous for having definitely abused it.

Breast augmentation is an operation that, some time ago, was almost a must. In the beginning it was Pamela Anderson, then all the others. She actually built her entire career on it and became a symbol, an icon. Today, for breast augmentation, people generally opt for more 'comfortable' sizes, definitely more in line with a woman's physique.

As far as lips are concerned, the Italian beauties Nina Moric and Alba Parietti immediately come to mind; here, too, the warning from these examples is not to abuse cosmetic surgery so as not to completely distort the face and body.

We all share the desire to stop time and aspire to an eternal youth. We tell you now that this is not possible unless you want to look ridiculous. Time passes, what we can do is try to keep in check the aspects of our body that we like less. The current approach of cosmetic surgery is to correct any disharmonious elements without affecting the features of each individual face. Retouching can throw a little smoke on age, but we must not get too carried away because at that point it will be impossible to go back.
